Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck.

More than two years after Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finally tied the knot, the couple has called it quits once again.

Lopez filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to court documents. A source close to Lopez revealed that the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement.

TMZ was the first to break the news of the divorce filing.

The couple, who rekindled their romance in 2021, got married in July 2022 after being apart for 17 years.

Lopez and Affleck were previously engaged in the early 2000s but broke up before they could marry. During their years apart, Lopez was married to singer Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014, with whom she shares two children, and was later engaged to former New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, though they broke up in 2021.

In total, Lopez has been married four times.

Affleck, during the same period, was married to actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, and they share three children.

Lopez and Affleck first met on the set of "Gigli" in 2002, and by November of that year, they were engaged. However, the couple called off their engagement in 2004.

After Lopez’s split from Rodriguez in 2021, she was often spotted with Affleck, sparking rumors of a reconciliation.

Lopez announced their engagement in April 2022, nearly 20 years after the first proposal. The couple married on July 16, 2022, obtaining a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada. They exchanged vows in a late-night Las Vegas ceremony, joining several other couples at the chapel.

"We did it," Lopez shared in her fan newsletter, the J Lo, shortly after the ceremony. "Behind us, two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three-hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday — all of us wanting the same thing — for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage."

At the time, the couple described the wedding as "the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real."

Rumors of trouble in paradise began circulating in May when tabloids reported that the couple had not been seen together for weeks. Speculation grew as reports suggested Affleck had moved out of their home, which was subsequently put up for sale, and into his own residence.
